I think the booger will be fine in the long run.

I really would have liked to have seen the cherry top, but you've done wonders already with pine.

Pine is so soft, though.........you sure about this?


I agree, leave the back stained, paint the edges to cover up the booger, and then stain the top.

It would be sexy.

This all started as an experiment. The piece of sycamore was scrap along with the pine. If it comes apart, I'll make another. I actually have a bunch of sycamore for builds. I don't beat guitars so the pine should be good, plus I'm hoping it gives it some mid range honk. If it dings up, all the better. Accelerated relic-ing.
