I think there are a couple of custom shops now that will make a relatively similar new one. Probably for a lot of dough.

Ergonomics.

Depends entirely on the PU configuration. And a term would be a deal-breaker.

But the ones that I do like, I love, and would love to own one someday.

I'm sure the shape was painstakingly designed, but it looks like they just grabbed a random slab of scrapwood and polished it up.

The tremolos can be locked down for non-whammy bar enthusiasts, just like on my Steinberger.


And as for the shape that everyone complains about, it's supposed to hang just right while standing with a strap, and while sitting supposedly you can let BOTH hands go and it won't tip one way or the other.

The shape doesn't bother me.

If less that people like them, the better for those who do.
