J.K. Simmons is getting @#$%ing ripped for Justice League

That doesn't look very roid-ish. Looks more like he put on about 10lbs of muscle and then did a HUGE body fat cut. At his age it becomes more apparent.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news from the old man demographic to the young man demographic, but men lose the ability to build muscle mass starting in their mid to late 40s. By the early 50s, men cannot build any new muscle mass, and it becomes a struggle just to keep the existing muscle.

This is because of the rapid decline in testosterone production that starts in men's mid 40s.

For Simmons to put that much muscle mass on at his age, I can guarantee you he is taking testosterone and steroids.

when does production on the movie/show start? I'm guessing 7-10 days after he destroys a shoulder or rips a bicep.

if he made that much of a transformation cleanly, that's very impressive. but as others have said, he's basically getting paid to work out all day and eat right. doing your job doesn't make you special.

if he used drugs and hormones to do it, he's an idiot.

also, tony danza giving him a blow job.

From Whiplash.

Like Andy says, I think that this is more about cutting body fat # than it is about putting on muscle mass.

That said, yeah, he may be taking some stuff that would be illegal for professional athletes, and that's fine; he isn't one. But probably nothing extreme.

More and more research is showing that you can still build muscle mass even into your 60s, but it becomes more difficult to do so. Simmons is already fairly fit, so if he adds even a bit of muscle mass while cutting body fat, it's going to show big time.

Holy fuck -- he's three years older than I. Does that mean I can still look like that (minus the santa claus beard...)?

More and more "research" done by companies who sell supplements that let you build muscle mass without resorting to drugs. I'm sure their research is legit.

You should see my dad. He turned 65 in January and I wish I was as ripped as him. He's not as ripped as JK, but he also doesn't have a trainer and work out 8 hours a day.

Yup, there's that crazy old fucker from the infomercials who drinks all the carrot juice and pulls around airplanes. He's been around forever....

Now that I think about it, he could be dead at this point. It's been a long time since I've seen an infomercial. hmmmm.... that's an unpleasant thought. I'd much rather think of him being old and crazy, drinking carrot juice, and pulling around planes.

Not by supplement companies; it's all about macronutrients and clean eating with a great training plan. Simmons has access to all of that.
