Went to te store to pick up some odds and ends and came home with a twelver of "Third Shift" amber lager. Pretty good. Don't know if there's anything special about it yet, but it's not trying too hard to be cool, so that's nice

got the Great Lakes taster's pack. Some very good stuff, although i've never been quite blown away by any of their beers.

Alchemy hour, nosfaratu and blackout are outrageously tasty. The rest of their line up is solid. Don't think I've had a bad one from them.

I had high expectations for that and was a bit disappointed. The spiced rum aged one is supposed to be good according to a friend but I've not had it. They have the 2012 Canada day release on clearance at the nslc.... It's an English strong ale style so that extra age might not be a bad thing.

Picked up a bottle of W. L. Weller 12 Year today but haven't had a chance to try it. There was mention of their Special Reserve last week, but I decided to go with the older 12 since it was only $3 more. Either way, they are $22 and $25. Testing to follow...

The first glass of Weller 12 was OK, but not anything special. It needs more testing, and I'm just the man to do it!

nice, I'll have to try those if i see em. yeah, definitely haven't had a bad beer by them though, just nothing that knocked my socks off yet.
