Certifications mean different things to different people. At some companies all certifications will be seen as a joke because the bad old days of paper MCSEs left a bad taste in everyone’s mouths. But in other companies certifications will get you past the HR department gatekeepers and get you a higher salary. Talk to people who work at the companies you want to work for.

I'm not looking to leave my job. I work from home 100% of the time. We have no corporate office, the whole company works from home. You can't beat that in the DC area with the insane traffic here.

I passed. 90% on the written and 83.34% on the lab (5 out of 6 scenarios and that's the minimu required - I ran short on time)

Well, the tech is better. The course needs a revision. The content is all there but the order in which it is presented is a bit whacky right now. But people are taking the course and passing the exams. So, it works...
