Is this winter starting to get long for everyone else??

I don't mind the snow.
I just don't like the heating bills.

I simply thought the li'l guy was cute.

what I need to do is get the house insulated properly.
resulting in lower bills.
that'll be this summer, with luck.

I actually just got back in from a nice stroll, it's a balmy -24 or so.
didn't even have my face covered.
nice and sunny too.

I have a whole other list of reasons no human should be forced to live in the hell that is New Jersey.
 
well.....here we go again......3"-5" is what they're calling for.......but there's thunder snow happening 50 miles west and they're getting almost 2" per hour. so we may get even more than that.
there is a very good chance we will break the all time record for snow in one season tonight. and we still have half of february and march to go.
 
We're getting an ice storm through the night then 2-4,5,6 on top of that. Work is opening late tomorrow. 9am start. Let it snow let it snow let it snow.
 
So, it's been 3.5 hours since my last post, where I had just shoveled the driveway. About an hour ago, my wife was trying to pull into the driveway, and kept sliding. I went out to help her out, and there was at least 5 more inches of snow, not to mention the drifts :mad:. More shoveling, then I was able to push her into the driveway. Shovel some more, then was able to get the car in the garage. Shovel more of that side of the driveway, then got in my work van and moved it back-and-forth to make sure that I could get out if (when) I get a service call. I could have shoveled more, but I said "Fuck this".

I hope I don't get called - travel times are 5x normal, and there are accidents all over the place.

Yay! 40 and 37 for the highs the next two days. HEATWAVE!!!

Boo! Floods. Better get a backup sump pump ready.
 
watching the tv weather, they just anncounced that we have gotten 69" of snow this year. the all time reacord is 73" and we're supposed to get 4 to 6 inches in the next 3 hours or so.

and as i said......we've still got the other half of Feb. and most of March to go. we have on many occasions gotten snow in the first week of April. in fact we've had snow on Easter weekend.

guess we ARE gonna break the record. even more than the blizzard of '78.
