Take the high road. Your conscience already has that sorted out.
People with religious doctrine at the forefront of their lives are naturally divisive on the social order of things. Not slighting them for their dogma but they do seem susceptible to moral posturing to the extent that even they become internally conflicted (confused). Music is a tough match-up. The best partnership is the christian influenced genre; their culture condiment. That's a big business, too. Some forum sites make room for it and might be of greater help to you than the street.
Edit to add: I like Green Day's American Idiot. Reminds me of my own youthful rebelliousness for causes that were and still are relevant.
