If someone says they like ranch dressing more than blue cheese dressing, I dismiss their opinions...

What's really great is a berry-infused vinaigrette with blue cheese crumbles.

That sounds good!

Ya know what else is great with chunks of bleu cheese?
Fruitcake.

Yeah, that shit that could replace structural masonry blocks.
With the chunks of unidentifiable fruit.

A nice one that's been wrapped in brandy-soaked cheesecloth for a couple of months along with a good bleu or Stilton cheese. Glorious.

I'm freaking out a bit.

I said nothing to my wife about blue cheese and fruitcake.

She just handed this to me.

Love blue cheese on steak or burgers. Otherwise I avoid it (and any soft cheese save mozzarella).

As for ranch, I have a visceral hatred of the stuff. No idea why, it just sets off my senses in very bad way.

I don't like blue cheese or ranch dressing, but I can understand how some of you might. It's tastes good to you.
But what I can't understand is how in the fuck anyone likes iceberg lettuce?
Romaine, Kale, Spinach or Swiss Chard are all superior to iceberg lettuce. Anyone who's disagrees is a Nickelback fan

Had dinner at a place near the house recently. I ordered a wedge salad. I could have had that and nothing else. Must have had four ounces of blue cheese on it.

Iceberg is a different category. It's more in competition with celery than romaine, et al. It provides a cool, crisp crunch. For a tossed salad, it's a sick joke, but properly applied (wedge salad is a good example, I also like it on American-style tacos), it's just as good as anything else that's playing to its strengths.

My wife and I were at a nice French restaurant recently, and the woman at the table next to us asked for ranch dressing.
