I should stop, but Incoming!

Was wondering which site you were using. Think I've seen that one pop up on Facebook, the other one being guitar giveaway iirc.

INTERESTING development.

They reached out to me yesterday and offered up cash or store credit.
I chose to accept the guitar and agreed to be responsible for the taxes, etc.

Just now I got an email from a Canadian store for an order for the same guitar.
So, no taxes. No duty.

It’s close enough for me to go pick it up!
It is about 45 minutes along the highway, but I can stop in on a work trip. So, it’s a nothing cost to me in terms of time and fuel.

When I won my PRS they had that in hand and it was handover in person as we could meet easily. The Les Paul and Katana both arrived by courier and had obviously been ordered after I won them, the Les Paul from Thomann and the Katana from GuitarGuitar. Makes sense if they can order it relatively local to the winner and get it delivered after it's won as it means they aren't paying out up front.

So, I’ve been in contact with the store.
They have to order it from Yamaha.
So, it’s a brand new guitar!!

Re: GuitarGuitar, my UA Del-Verb is coming from them.

I asked my contact at dailyguitardraw if this all works out okay for them, and the short answer is “Yes.”

It arrived today.
It plays great. Sounds like a guitar. I need to find a tone amongst my amps. I just tried in my Spark2 so far.
No complaint, just not thrilled yet. Yet.

But the sustain! Holy shmokes!
That should make for a fun time.

Will report back when I get more time to futz with it.

That's the right color for sure.

If you find it's not to your liking I'll give you the cost of your entry fees, customs, and the shipping to the US. :thu:

It switches from normal everyday caps to magical caps in the tone circuit. The toilet paper on a vertical mount is the international symbol for these- https://www.musiciansfriend.com/acc...o3uaWVeHgh7yH9XgcO3LhYBFa0xPDJ8gaArpMEALw_wcB

- which are known to boost the haunting mids and paranormal bass.
Just took a poke around teh greater Intarwebnetz and it seems that the Focus Switch puts what seems to be either a transformer or coupled inductor into the circuit which shifts the frequency response. Sounds like the old Torres Engineering "Super Midrange Control".
