So no wood, no luggage rack = not a station wagon,

no that's still a station wagon....your pic made me realise what the difference is....it's the mother fuckin' TAILGATE.....that is what all the wagons since are missing the tailgate and that's why they are not station wagons.

2nd one has a swingout tailgate , so yes...station wagon...first pic , no.
last pic is a range Rover which is an suv....see the Cheverolet Suburban from the late 60's...they were just called trucks back then.

The willys wagon had a tailgate too but it was not a station wagon....hell the kaiser jeep had a tailgate but it was not a station wagon
a pick up truck has a tailgate but it is not a station wagon

A station wagon is unique and it is a melting pot of things that make it such

An FJ 40 is not a jeep...it is a land cruiser....both unique but onde is not the other.

Station wagon?

1954 Corvette Nomad concept car.
yeah but it was a concept so non production...doesn't really matter. I suppose if cadillac and Lincoln can make an SUV then Corvette could make a station wagon.

Are you sure? It has wood and a luggage rack.

100 percent positive...the reason being that the WW was built on a truck chasis....it was 100 percent truck....station wagons were built on a car chasis and were 100 percent car....with a tailgate....hope this helps.

I would have never predicted that I'd see an argument on what defines a station wagon on a guitar site.

I just lied.
