I have now spent almost as much for power supplies than my DG Stomp is worth

I'm a big fan of the Yamaha DG Stomp. I owned one, sold t and missed it so much, I bought a another one.

When my son decided to pick up the guitar during the COVID shutdown, I pulled out the DG Stomp and he uses it with his Blackstar Bass Fly 3 for OD and multi-effects. In June, the original wall wart died, which isn't uncommon after nearly 20 years for the AC-10. Though there are several cheap import substitutes, none actually have the right specs. SO I spent $50 for a NOS Yamaha AC-10.

Today, my son tried to power a Morley Distortion Wah using it...POP! So now we're out another $50 (to the same shop). It's a learning moment for him. Maybe I just need to buy a Pod Go or something with a readily available power supply?

If I liked it enough to buy it twice, I’d suck it up and spend $50 & hope the kid learned to read the specs on the electromechanical equipment, or at least inquire if unsure of the proper configuration(s) required.

There has to be a pedal power supply with 12v 1000ma out there that would work. Or am I missing something?

It's because it has to be AC. Most of the cheap 12VAC wall warts are actually for 100-110VAC wall voltages.

The Voodoo Lab Pedal Power AC will work, I had forgotten about that since I decided against it in June.

If I have a pedal with a “special” power supply, I put a piece of tape and the pedal name on it to keep myself from doing something like using it on the wrong pedal.

I just hadn't thought it out. If I would get around to rebuilding my pedalboard, The boy may be content for while, so far he's been real happy with all the options on the DG Stomp, so he's kinda bummed he messed up.

I used to have the full blown Amp version of that. (Yamaha DG-80). It was pretty cool for what it was. Holdsworth used to use them live for several years.
