I studied for the Japanese Proficiency Test and passed Level 1 about 3 years ago (surrounded by Chinese and Koreans - I'm half Asian myself, but it still seemed a bit weird). Since then I haven't done much except read books, so I've forgotten a lot of kanji. Actually I think the worst thing for my Japanese has been hanging out on English-speaking forums (enjoyable as the company may be...)
I'm half Japanese, raised by my Japanese mother, learned when I was younger, studied it again in university, have been to Japan several times, etc....
Problem for me I guess is that even if I learn it, I just never really use it.![]()
