Thankfully no one was hurt; Carol was in the car with me. I have been impressed with my insurance company. They already have the car at a body shop, arranged for a rental car, and even told me that I have earned $100 off my deductible. The entire front bumper is gone, but I am just happy that it wasn't more serious.
 
Happy to hear that no one was hurt.

Hopefully the repairs go quickly and the necessary parts aren't stuck on a supply ship idling in the Pacific.

It sure can ruin a day though...and it does help if the insurance company does their job well. Glad you got a rental quick, that can be a problem these days.
 
Always a scary thing. Glad to hear your insurance company is doing it right. Also, of course, glad that no one was hurt.

I've been very impressed with the customer service I've gotten from GEICO for the past 10+ years, especially after years of piss-poor claims, rates, and unsatisfactory repairs from dealing with State Farm.

I was so impressed by everyone. The driver of the other car was reasonable, the police were helpful, even giving us a ride home. The insurance company has some "preferred providers"; using them cuts a lot of red tape, and one is right near by.

As you all have said, my greatest joy is that no one was hurt in the accident. And the air bags didn't deploy.
