i don't play his guitars, but this thread is making me a big fan of John Suhr

I'm agreeing with your definition as it is fonted in American dictionaries, probably most English too.
But where is the word profiter, as in one making a profit?

And I'm still calling you a creme puffeer.

And stop using 'font' as a verb please. That is irritating.

Perhaps you all remember my son lost his Caparison 7 mahagony. He´s very picky about guitars so he ordered a Suhr Modern 7 mahagony, and will now receive it within a week. Here´s how it looks, though he chosed passive Doug Aldrich pickups instead of EMGs.

Sweet! How's he doing at MI?

He has now finished his second term, and everything´s fine. He reads music very well now, but is sometimes a little annoyed over many of the students who just want to make it "big" in music. When they hear him play his own metal style, they say "theres no money in it". He says that he don´t care: that is what he want to do.

But I havn´t heard from him for some days: his girlfriend from Sweden is visiting him now. :embarrassed:

Some pretty misguided shit in that thread. All the people claiming that he's taking jobs away from the US by doing this. Err... if he wanted to keep this all in the US, it most likely just wouldn't happen. The cost would be too high to put out a guitar of the quality they're talking about if they wanted to sell them at that price. The US jobs they're claiming are being taken just don't fucking exist in the first place. Add on to that the fact that he's talking about having to hire additional people in the US to do the final reassembly and set up 'n' whatnot.

Only thing I don't like about the whole thing is that most likely I'd never be able to get my hands on one here without just taking a punt and importing one myself. :(

Which I might end up doing when I have some money to spare anyway. If they did a HSS modern I'd be hitting the "buy now" button while sporting a raging boner. :embarrassed: I don't imagine I'll ever be able to afford a proper Suhr here... a Guthrie sig costs $5300.

Mr X, I remember the tale of your son's loss, looks like he found a mighty nice replacement.
cool.

He's young enough to follow his dreams. Good on him!

Are you in England? I'm sure we could work something out within the forum if you don't mind having it shipped :embarrassed:

Australia. :(

I see there's a bunch of 'em on US Ebay that'll ship internationally, but of course I'll have never played one, so I don't even know what the necks are like. Are the Rasmus' profiles similar or the same to the Suhr stuff?

Money's a bit crap at the moment anyway though. Don't think I could buy anything unless I sold off something else, and even then, if I sold anything the money should be going elsewhere. Could potentially be losing my job soon due to our company being bought, and I'm also supposed to be moving house ASAP too. No idea where I should even be looking to move to though, seeing as I don't even know where I'll be working if the new company gives me a job. :(
