I could be happy the rest of my life . . .

Ah yes, good ol' Pismo Beach, the DMZ of the NorCal SloCal wars!!
I've had the best Steaks ever on the Central Coast. My parents had a Motorhome spot in Pismo Coast Village. I love Pismo on up to Monterey. Morro Bay is nice too. I'm not familiar with San Fran. I have been boating in Nor Cal.

Yep, I've had many a good meal in and around Pismo over the years. You should do the Big Sur>Monterey>Santa Cruz>Pacifica> SF drive sometime.

And next to the city of Arroyo Grande with the best pizza in CA. (not kidding or exaggerating)

That's what they all say. Have you tried Pizza My Heart? They have the awards to back up their claims

I love a good, traditional crust pizza.

The Big Sur is the best pizza I have ever eaten, and I've had NYC pizza from various places.

I haven't tried that. I definitely will. I believe it when you say it's the best pizza. I wrote that down.

Unless you’ve tried Klondike’s there’s no conversation to have. It’s unlike any pizza you’ve ever had before. It’s not just some pizza I think is made really good. It’s completely unique.

How so? Is it a pineapple crust? Pizza is a pretty well defined food item. How does it differ from a traditional pizza? The difference is usually in the fine details. What makes this unique? I'll happily try it next time I'm down SLO town way, but until then the ball is in your court. Completely unique pizza requires definition.

That’s the point, they’re not different with any gimmicky ingredients or wood fire ovens. Their sauce is unlike any other pizza sauce I’ve ever tasted and the ingredients are hard to pin down. I would just recommend trying the simple pepperoni the first time you try it so you can just appreciate the basic flavors that are unique with their pizza. They also use 2 or 3 different cheeses in any standard order, and they pile on the pepperoni, but it’s always cooked just right (for me, I like pepperonis slightly crispy on the edges). The crust is thinner than average but I wouldn’t call it thin crust. It’s really the flavor that you’ll remember forever.

(formerly) Best pizza in California, The Mug, San Bernardino. It's been nearly 60 years since I've been there, and now they are no longer in business. :undecided:
