The first concert I attended was Humble Pie at the Country Club in Reseda. Steve Marriott killed it. That Rockin' the Fillmore record was pretty spectacular too.

I can't find a good video of this one. I saw a boxing match at the Country Club. Tommy Chong was in attendance.

Agreed. The Steve Marriott story has a very tragic ending for a great, if underappreciated, artist. Two of the first 10 albums I owned as a kid. Pre and post Frampton were both great.

The Country Club was a small club. Steve kept yelling, "we ain't no fucking amateurs".
Everyone there knew he was no fucking amateur.

He did a conga line with his band up and down the isles of the club. I believe there was some duck walking involved.

I caught a few good shows at Wolf and Rissmiller's Country Club.
