Hopefully it's a Happy NGD...and it is!

That looks fantastic, congratulations! I bought my blue Les Paul from Dave's, I had a good experience with them.

Thanks! Yeah, this is my second purchase from Dave's, and I will continue to buy from them. I do hate the 24 hour wait, though...I'd give it 5 or 6, but I'll accept the 24 hours because they ship promptly, pack well, and on used PRSes at least they generally have the best prices I can find.

I'm thinking she may get a tort pickguard...actually might go tort on both Velas...

Well it’s not just some bs corporate policy to make us miserable. I’d rather wait just to be safe even if it wasn’t a warranty thing.

I bought an Ovation years ago and it was delivered on a blisteringly hot day (remember the summer of 1980 Houston folks?) It never occurred to me not to open it right away, and later I noticed the finish had a lot of fine spiderweb cracks in it. Not sure the temp change caused it but I suspect it did.

Yeah, about 10 years ago I ordered a McInturff, it got delivered in winter when the temp was something below zero. I had it delivered to my office, and opened it immediately. I had about a second to admire it before I heard the crack and watched the finish shatter - what was pristine was now very heavily checked. So I do gauge my time based on how cold it is. This one was delivered at about 40F, so I'd normally give it several hours up to overnight anyway. 24 still seems a tad bit long, but I have learned my lesson and would rather be safe.
