help me price my Martin OM-1

I want to sell my OM-1 to make room for a new acoustic. I bought it new in 2000 for the list price of $1100. It is in good shape, plays as well as it ever did. There are a few little surface dings if you look closely enough, and one tuner recently ejected a bushing so it should be replaced (it still works but stiffly).

The problem is I don't see any going on eBay or Reverb to give me a yardstick for what the asking price should be. Martin doesn't have an OM-1 on their web site any more, and the OMs they do have all look like higher-end or at least the higher side of mid-priced models.

Thoughts?

I thought Reverb had a feature where you can see how much that same model has sold for over the past few years.

I would never sell a solid wood 20 yr old Martin in good playable condition for a dime less than I payed for it.
Just sayin.

Depends on the model and how popular they are. Some lines/models never really caught on and do not hold their value as well. If we are talking D28? You are dead on. OM-1? Not sure how popular those were.

I get you're coming from your POV but in the case where some one doesn't want to keep it and isn't enjoying it, that's not really applicable.

Sure, but I am of the opinion the OP should perhaps weigh his GAS for a new acoustic vs the reality of what he already has.

Here are a couple pics of the ol’ Martin.

Still waffling on whether to sell or not; looking at the pics makes me want to keep her.

IMO the market value on these is pretty darn stable so I don't think it'll really matter if/when you decide.
There's not a bunch of them around and while it's not an in-demand model on the used market, they always sell because it's a martin.
