I've got my ASAT Special and Takamine EAN55C sitting out, but the other day it was my Godin Session Custom (tremmed T-style w/ neck HB) and my La Patrie Concert CW (nylon string).
I'm thinking that I'd likely go w/ either my:
I have noticed for the last few years that I can pretty easily dismiss the need for and certainly actually buying any new instruments. And this has included thinking about whittling down the palette of instruments.
If I added a 3rd, it would be my Godin A5 A/E bass.
I've got my ASAT Special and Takamine EAN55C sitting out, but the other day it was my Godin Session Custom (tremmed T-style w/ neck HB) and my La Patrie Concert CW (nylon string).
I'm thinking that I'd likely go w/ either my:
- Am Std Strat or PRS CE-22 (maple top), due to greater tonal variety/flexibility and vibratos.
- Takamine Gecko, which has a larger body and can get louder than my other Tak. Again, this would be about having more tonal "range" as it were. There are ways you can manipulate a steel string to emulate a nylon (kinda sorta), but a nylon can't match the snap or sustain of a steel string...for the most part.

I just gave away my bass (may replace later, but it was just sitting here), but otherwise here are my choices:
Journey travel guitar, because it's always nice to have something you can fold up and run away with...
The choice is difficult between my LP Junior Special P90 and the PRS, but I think the PRS would win because it's worth more at this point. The traveler wins vs the Martin because the Martin really needs a setup, and it may be beyond my abilities.
