Buffed out the finish flaws and that worked out nicely. Started working on lining up the neck, pickguard, bridge, and control plate. I figured out the bridge pickup rout was not cut large enough...:facepalm. thankfully, I had a plexiglass template on hand for a tele bridge that worked out nicely for dremeling the hole to the correct size/shape. I had to order new tuners because the holes in the headstock were not spaced correctly for a set of vintage style tuners...:mad:

 
Got it all put together tonight, aside from some minor adjusting on the set up. Pretty sweet considering the current Fender Custom Shop offering at GC on-line that is over $6K and I did this one for about 5% of that price...:embarrassed:

i think brass saddles would pull it all together nicely

control plate looks weird though...cant put my fingers on it../
