Had two sell two of my favorites tonight...

Sorry you had to sell.

$4000 isn't so bad. When Mrs. P broke her wrist, we were out of pocket over $3000, and that was for a couple of hours in the ER and about 8 hours total in the hospital for surgery.

I've paid maybe $30 out of pocket (it's hard to tell, we just switched to a new plan) after nearly chopping my thumb off. That's ER, surgery, meds, and physical therapy sessions. Thankful for my great "teacher" insurance. Of course, I'm earning about 60% what someone with my experience and level of education would make in another field, so I'm still down a few $100K over the course of my career.

Yeah. But $4000 was one doctor for one visit!!!! Who knows what else is out there?!!! Sucks.

Sorry John.

Here, I made you something special...

We used to have great insurance where I work at. It was a bit steep on the weekly fee, but $5 co-pay and they took care of everything.

Now, our weekly fee is much lower, but I pay a $20 co-pay and a pretty sizable percentage of the final bill, up to several thousand dollars. I'd have to look up the exact numbers. Then after that the insurance picks up the rest.

Life is just a series of ebbs and flows. I agree that selling 2 guitars (no matter how prized) is a small price to pay for the twins. One day, they'll know how special guitars are to you, and you'll be able to tell them that you had to sell 2 very special guitars, just for them. That's how much they're loved!

Couple of things.

Congratulations on the Twins... Your life just became completely sleepless for the next 5-6 years. On the other hand; Twins are all in all a fantastic parenting experience. Guitars are replaceable.

death is but a doorway, time is but a window.

Oh, and don't get me started on insurance costs. Single payer or bust.
So you're saying that his guitars are like Kevin Dubrow?

Never really gone, just on hiatus until they rise again.

I hear the mythical Phoenix recently got a full back tattoo of Kevin Dubrow.

Fucking respect.

No.

Viggo the Carpathian.

Mojo + mojo. That's how I lost my 60's and 70's USA made guitars. It doesn't mean much compared to your families health. All in all it still sucks.
