As far as the output Jack thing goes, chalk me up on the terrible side. It negates the only positive reason to have that lower part shaped that way, and that is that you could have hooked it on your thigh like a flying v to stabilise it. Now you can't claim functionality, only that it's shaped weird on purpose.
