So many!
* A '66 Mustang. Was told by person who shared practice space, "sure, go ahead and play it." Later found out it was stolen, and even though I wasn't involved, it made me feel very sad. Tried to get it back to it's original owner, who bizarrely said he didn't care. (Yes, we're talking about pro musicians here who did not have day jobs - at that point I basically said "avoid drama" and backed out, including backing out of sharing a nice space). Because of the weirdness, and the gorgeous sounds it got, I'll always remember that guitar.
* A '62 Strat that was going up for sale at Mr. Music in Brighton. The guys there were always nice to me, and when I came in, they said "Oh, wait 'til you see what we got!" They were right - it was amazing. Just sounded so beautiful through a DR, and sustain for days.
* My 2012 US Standard Strat. Bo-ring! It's even black with maple f/b and white p/g. It was on super-sale at Hello Music! (remember them?) and so I couldn't resist at $795. For two years it sulked and settled, immune to countless set up attempts and regardless of rig. It got set aside. This, of course, was the magic answer. Somehow, in year 3, it stabilized, and after one more set up it has been a tremendous guitar.
* 2014 American Elite HSS Strat. As noted above, bigger radii make better Fenders. This has a graduated FB and plays amazingly nicely. Also really like the S-1 switch with the humbucker.
* A couple of 60's era Mosrites owned by a "stah."
Moar later.
