GPOTD Guitar Pic of the Day - 12.21.10

i don't think there's anything wrong with the price. it's not something that i'm necessarily looking for, but then i've never seen one in person or played one. and there's far too many knobs on it for the soundhole pickup to be the only one. there must be either a bridge piezo or something else on the guitar to give it better range.

Lindsay made most of his best known recordings on a LP custom...I LOVE that tone...every time I hear him play one of these I'm less than satisfied...

Nope. Besides the fact that I'm not a big Lindsey Buckingham fan, I've never cared for that guitar. It has a dinky body, which means it sucks for players that play like jazzers (with a guitar slung high, using the guitar body as an arm rest). Also, while it sounds OK acoustically, I remember seeing Lindsey playing it live in a concert on MTV back in the day. I thought it didn't have enough beef soundwise at gain, when he did what little bit of dirty playing he did during the concert.

If somebody else wants it, be my guest.

Thank you, ellengtrgrl, I'll take it. This looks nice, not totally nice, but nice.
I like more of a hold against my body, and use my arm to stabilize during intense harmonics,
why I made my body wider, and just a little deeper.
And my semi-solid-body has more tonal output, and resonant harmonic output, than any solid, semi-acoustic, or chambered body.
So far, I'm the only accelerated acoustics in existence, not using a soundhole or f-hole to dilineate acoustics,
but focussing resonance and harmonics where the pickups are. I'm still getting used to it.
And I've got 24 frets, with two partials on my middle pickup, using the poles on the neck humbucker,
catching four octaves of E on my E string. Take that.... everybody else!
