Gretsch Day was fun

Looks like fun. Did you catch a snap w/ Joe C? He's gotta have some great stories from his SST days.

I don't know how I missed Joe Carducci as he was pretty much running the show but I did.

I kind of got the back of his head here.

I'd be curious as to how Paul's demo went and what you thought of it.?

He did about thirty minutes before the Fred and Joe show and thirty minutes after. He did some standards and some of his own stuff. Some solo and some with backing tracks made by he bassist and drummer.

He was very at ease and seemed to be having a good time. He said he made the trip down specifically to do this event and didn't have any other shows in the area.

I've got his DVD so I kind of knew what to expect but I was still blown away by his playing.

Paul is a great player! Which DVD of his do you have?

I have his Travis Picking/Hillbilly Fingerstyle DVD. I haven't been through the whole thing but I was at point zero in Travis Picking. He got me started keeping up an alternating bass line. I'm going to go back to it when I'm a little more comfortable.

Very cool. All 3 of his DVDs are great!
