Gretsch Day was fun

I made a thread about it over at HCEG and I don't want to make a habit of cross posting.

So I'll just touch a couple of the highlights here.

cross-posting = good.

They'll give a VIP badge to anyone these days. (seriously they gave a VIP badge to everyone that showed up)

The Street Sounds crew was extremely gracious. When I finally get in a position where I can afford a Jet I'm talking to them.

Here's the new big-dollar George Harrison reproduction Jet. (along with Rocky the proprietor of Street Sounds)

I loaded up on Gretsch goodies while I was there.

Book signed by Fred and calendar signed by Kim (who I notice was nice enough to lean forward when I took that snapshot of her).

I've no idea what that odd-looking guitar is, but I want one.

and the sparkly silver one, and...and...and...

Looks like fun. Did you catch a snap w/ Joe C? He's gotta have some great stories from his SST days.

Super cool. Gretsch guitars are pretty hard to find down here, other than the electromatic series specials at Guitar Center. You would be hard pressed to find a BillyBo Jupiter or a higher end sparklejet, let alone some of the atkins and setzer models or US custom shop guitars. It must have been cool to have a nice selection in one place.
