i don't know what that means but there's a US oil vs. mid east oil war going on and has been for about a year now.....a barrel of oil is at around $ 40 and dipped down to $39 over last weekend.
that's why gas is so cheap right now.

I'd like it more if all my coworkers weren't getting laid off and my job wasn't in the balance as a direct consequence... but I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

The 'war' is that the mid east doesn't want the US to make anything so they won't slow down the supply. It comes down to this: it doesn't matter how much money per unit you are making if you are making all of the money. That is the Saudi approach. Remember...the Saudis are America's friends - the same friends that they saved from Saddam's Iraq.

while i don't disagree, and could go A LOT FURTHER, i won't because it would get VERY political.
just sayin'

No doubt about that. The topic can be discussed at length and not get political though, but then, that is a matter of perspective as anything can be construed as political.

If the lobbyists never had the power that they had, then petroleum products would not have become a necessity and we would all be better off.

If anyone hasn't watched Pumped on Netfix, I highly recommend it.
