Going to make some meteoras!

Beautiful finish! Beautiful wood!
Thank you! Got some chrome covers for the pups and a tort pickguard going on.

If you recall, I made a yellow P90 version that had a black limba neck which I named Sparky.
I raided that neck to go on the new orange limba model which left Sparky in need of a replacement.
I had wanted yellow on there to begin with but the limba didn’t really like the yellow dye. Maple, on the other hand, loves yellow dye so that’s exactly what I did!
Rosewood board. Hipshot open gear tuners. Graph tech nut. All the usual goodies.

I had a Cyclone II in graffiti yellow that I somewhat regret trading - it's a really cool (well - hot) color. Also, I've played a lot of korina guitars, but never a black limba. I know they are related - do you think they are very different in how they sound for guitars or is it just cosmetic? Seems like the electric I'm reaching for most now is a Reverend in korina.

Korina seems to be the name guitar builders use and Limba is everyone else. I'm being totally serious. It is the same wood. (I just learned this recently)
Edit: Korina is the name Gibson loves to use. Do other brands use it?

Limba=korina. White or black simply refers to whether or not it has streaks in it. They can actually come from the same tree.
I’d say it’s pretty functionally equivalent to mahogany. Suhr is well known for using a lot of black limba in guitars. I suspect it’s not used more simply because it’s harder to source in reliable quantities.
Here’s a photo of both types.

Same wood. Black limba. White limba. Korina. Strictly cosmetic and marketing.

that's beautiful !!!
i'm not really an "offset" guy, but that really is nice.

(i have a Jazz Bass, which is an offset body, but that's only because it's a fretless. couldn't find a fretless P Bass, at the time.)

Working on fret slots.
