Give me something to watch on Netflix

I don’t know which legacy series HBO has removed. It saves them money in royalties and residuals to pull even some popular series. Anyway, they’ve created some great shows over the years.

Some good, some great HBO shows….
Mare Of Eastown
Station Eleven
Big Little Lies
House Of Dragon
The Wire
Game Of Thrones
Succession
The Sapranos
Six Feet Under
Chernobyl
Curb Your Enthusiasm
The Larry Sanders Show
The Righteous Gemstones
Eastbound And Down
Silicon Valley
The Leftovers
True Detectives
Rome

It’s a shame that Deadwood was effectively cancelled in 2006 without wrapping up storylines. It still holds the record for most use of the word “cocksucker.”

I thought John Adams was great. I need to rewatch it.

I started watching Hacks. What I saw was entertaining. Somehow, I got sidetracked to other shows.

I have yet to watch Oz, Veep, Barry, Watchmen, Sharp Objects, Band Of Brothers, Angels In America, Olive Kitteridge, Mildred Pierce, The Pacific, nor Boardwalk Empire. But, I’ve read good things about them.
A Deadwood movie was put out. Trying to remember if that summed up everything. Anyway, same people were in it.

Is it just me, or is From dragging? I'm finding the last few episodes a slog to get through.

It’s as if it’s running out of steam. It’s not easy for a show to remain interesting, episode after episode, for 4 seasons. And, it has one more season after this one.

I suspect we’re at the point where there will be ups and downs. Some episodes will be decent, while others will be duds.

The Burroughs is perhaps the most stupid thing I've ever watched. Plots holes galore. Several plot points make absolutely zero sense. But it was a fun watch. Kind of a Stranger Things except senior citizens instead of kids.
Oh, and poor Gina Davis has had so much plastic surgery, botox, and filler that her face doesn't move when she talks.

We liked it. The Duffer Bros were producers so the Stranger Things comparison makes sense. I had the same thought but didn’t realize this till a few episodes in. I really liked the score. It feels like a big Stephen Spielberg movie from the 90s.
