Gimme your non-music entertainment guilty pleasure. Come on, fess up

Deadliest Catch. I don't know why, every season is the same, lots of swearing, they have shitty weather and they catch crab while bitching about the greenhorn

And yet I still watch it  Maybe because it's on in the hot weather and it's really cold in the Bering Sea in January?

You Tube Guitar Tutorials

Learning new stuff-this month (hopefully) soldering and reading Electronics For dummies.

Planning my next Costa Rica or Panama trip, learning the flora and fauna.

Not doing my job

Flirting with milfs at the super market

Recently I told my kids (2 and 3) that bats drop carrots on people's heads. I've got stashes of carrots all over the yard and lob them up in the air when the kids aren't looking. I never actually hit them but their reaction to carrots seemingly falling from the sky is priceless.

Model trains & amateur astronomy. I haven't done anything with trains for about 15 years except railfanning. Short story is that it got way too expensive for me. I was a member of a modular club and they voted to convert over to DCC. Plus I had an altercation with a club member. Astronomy has been on the back burner for awhile too, except for quick peeks with binoculars. I absolutely love to go surf casting out on the island, one of the best striper fisheries on the entire east coast.

Not a huge occupation, but I do enjoy watching Battlebots. Yeah, it's full of hype (prime time TV) but it's fun to watch once the actual "battling" begins.

I watch that with the sound off.
Music playing in the background, or play the guitar.

I forgot, I like watching Project Runway with my wife. I wouldn't search it out on my own, but I sorta like watching it.

MKR is another.

[shamefaced confession] I love manga (Asian serial comics series, mostly Japanese). When I got my first iPad, I downloaded a manga reader while installing a big batch of recommended apps, and then later opened it and read a couple of manga stories. They were interesting, so I read more. And more. And more. I've since read many thousands of manga releases, and have over 130 "favorite" series saved in my manga app, which notifies me of new releases. I probably read 25 new releases a month.

I collect Medal Bars from Imperial Germany. I taught myself German just to read the Award Documents

I learned a few German words to be able to read Telefunken schematics, but that's impressive.

I have a 1939 Iron Cross with swords (awarded for combat) that a friend found in a parking lot the day after a Military Collectors' show. I'm a WWII history buff so I find it interesting, but my wife is Jewish, so I keep that one in the bottom of a box.

I'm a history buff, mainly WWI and WWII. On two separate occasions, I have embarrassed myself in front of attractive european women by knowing the location of their home towns, but only in relation to obscure battles.
