Hot or Not? Gibson Les Paul Futura

yep, comes off pretty easily I think, but you'd need new tuners.

The tuners can be used manually, but I would prefer not to have the e-tune at all, like many of their other guitars with that option.

Having said that, I like the config, and absolutely shocked they are offering a HSC all things considered.

The blue one that @Tig posted looks rather neato :embarrassed:.

whats your guys beef with the e-tune?

seems like it would be pretty cool, does it not work well or something?

Well, you should tune up to a note. The e tune that I tried tuned up or down depending where the note was in relation to pitch. Not sure I like the fact that it does that.

Just rock hard enough that it doesn't matter if you're in tune.

But I dig the colour and the pickup choices. Binding would be nice and I think a maple board on that would kill.

i like the pickup combination......same setup Tom Scholz used on the first 2 Boston albums.....but after that....not so much

Or in blue

Not a fan of the purple, but the blue isn't half bad. I like the look of the wood grain showing through.

I've never tried it, but it seems pretty gimmicky to me. I guess Stratocasters and Floyd Roses were gimmicky in their day too, though.

That blue one is a big fat "YES PLEASE" for me thank you. I could always get new tuners if that stuff is so bad.

Sweetwater has them in silver, gold and red as well. I like the idea, but I would like it a lot more if it had neck binding.
