Firefox warnings on site security

Yeah, the Chrome on my phone won't let me log in here if I go to http instead of https.

Unfortunately, it seems to want to default to http when I visit the site. I have to manually enter "https://" to get it going in the right direction.

Yeah, it need to point to https.

And yeah, there’s a way to redirect anyone trying http to go to https automagically.
It’s just not there yet.

Yeah that's the pita part, since the last update it keeps defaulting back to http

There's a secret setting in Chrome to force it to use https for designated sites.

Go to chrome://net-internals/
Click on "Domain Security Policy" in the left column.
And then in the right column under "Add HSTS/PKP domain" add markweinguitarlessons.com.

That cleared up the issue for me. Now it always goes to https://markweinguitarlessons.com even if I type in http://markweinguitarlessons.com

Anyway, just throwing this out there for anyone else having issues logging into this forum from Chrome.

Thanks! Do you click the boxes for "add subdomains" and whatnot? I'm going to quote this and make a sticky out of it.

Or I can just use Firefox in the interim....

I never really paid much attention to this, but the new content security changes in the latest Firefox now prevent the browser from automatically logging in to the forums here when I visit. While not a major hassle to sign in manually each time, it is a hassle, and this may get worse in future Firefox releases.
