Fender Super 60 1x12...opinions? Experience?

What do you guys know about this amp? I am not familiar with it it all...I read some reviews at HC and it seems like it might be a competitor to the Classic series from Peavey. It seems like the distorted channel isn't that great...but 60 watts of clean Fender with some pedals in front is probably what I would lean to using anyhoo...

Just wondering if anyone ever used one before...

I tried one out at Sam Ash and was a little disappointed. It switches from a Vibrolux sound and a Bassman sound and niether sounded like what it was supposed to be. There's a lot of distortion options if I remember correctly, but I thought it was pretty expensive for what it was.

It's probably not the greatest amp for your situation, I would think....are you planning on playing out with it? I'd think the Classic 30 would be a better call...

I really don't dig it. I've played through my students amp a couple of times.
 
the only red knob amp i've ever liked is the Twin, run in 25 watt mode. and that amp is definitely not for you.
 
I have a red knob Champ that I like a lot. My best friend has the Super 60. Wanna hear it in action? Go to my Soundclick page and listen to "Sway" -- he's on one side, I'm on the other with my Bogner. His amp sounds amazing. The other guitar player in one of my bands has one, too -- it's awesome.

I don't get the hate towards the red knob Fender's -- they definitely take some work dialing in, but they're quite versatile, IMO. Hell, they were designed by Paul Rivera!

It's solid state?

If the yes answer is "yes" then I say "no" to the Super 60. I hate to sound like a band member of fanuvbraks but when it comes to solid state amps you need to be running at least 200 watts to keep up with a rock band.

Of the series I've only played a Twin and I really disliked it.

I think nits a tube amp.

Its a tube amp. I wouldn't consider a solid state amp. Thanks for having my back! :)
