PRS has made every effort to differentiate their guitars from everyone else. You know a PRS the moment you see one.
Fender could possibly win an injunction against PRS, similar to the one that Gibson won against PRS in 2004. But, I assume if that happened, it would be temporary. The Gibson win was eventually overturned by a court of appeals in 2005. But, PRS stopped producing some of their guitars during the gap. If Fender won an injunction, I assume it would ultimately be overturned.

Gibson has a line of English racing green guitars. The ES-335 is gorgeous. If I had seen them before I bought the LP Custom I’d have bought the ES instead!

Of all the incredibly cheap assed gear I've bought over the years, the only guitar that needed a straight up fret leveling, and not just a couple of frets sanded down a tad, was my Fender Player. Funny that it was my "splurge on a real guitar" guitar...
Still love that thing, glad I got my ideal Fender before they pulled this shit.

Fender is going to war with PRS because Silver Skies outsell Stratocasters. Which means that PRS has the money to hire excellent lawyers. Like the lawyers they hired who beat Gibson.
