Essential 'Guy' Movies..

Good suggestions everyone, keep 'em coming. But I've gotta run, taking the bike out on a ride to visit my grandmother on her birthday and see the family. Over the river and through the woods...

btw, Die Hard got #1 in queue at the moment and Conan #2.. That's probably all I'll realistically get to watch by Thursday next week anyway, but I'll get to the rest eventually.

Doesn't really matter. Mad Max has its low-budget charm, but Road Warrior kicks its ass in every way imaginable.

For the longest time you couldn't find a cut of Mad Max that didn't have the voices dubbed with American accents. Don't know if it's still that way.
 
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. Definately a guy movie. also 3000 Miles From Graceland.
 
cfgsteak already mentioned Reservoir Dogs, and I would just add Taxi Driver and Highlander (silly movie but it has a bunch of dewds running around chopping each others' heads off).
 
Predator is the best Ahnold movie outside of the terminator movies. I also agree with Full Metal Jacket.

I liked Free Enterprise. It had several things to make it "win". Um, female nudity.....William Shatner doing a gangsta rap (I'm not kidding)....and a bunch of guys who basically were 15 year olds in 30-something bodies.
Worth a watch.
 
I'll second Highlander not only "cuz I love it, but also because of a great Queen soundtrack and its just referenced SOOOO often in pop culture.

Speaking of Queen soundtracks, also Flash Gordon: Cheezey, STUPID fun ... plus Brian Blessed does his screaming beserker thing a lot! :thu:

LA Confidential - an absolutely juicy Kim Bassinger & multiple deaths by shotgun.

The Searchers - every real guy needs some John Wayne in his diet.

Body Heat - guys really are as dumb as William Hurt. Yeah, we are.

Porky's / Hollywood Knights / Mall Rats - a trifecta of guy comedies. Practice laughing & breathing thru your mouth at the same time.
 
I would add Apocalypse Now and Blues Brothers to the list. Also, the Connery-era James Bond films.
