Does this trigger you?

I don't pay close enough attention. These days I just figure they have wireless.

I was watching the news this AM and a commercial for a glass bottles came on. The premise is a band jamming out and they clink beer bottles at the end of a song.
The guitarist is playing a strat w/ a clearly visible empty input jack on close up, center frame. I chortled.

Like Springsteen?

Oh God, yeah. What was up with that? I feel like all the 80s live footage has him banging away at the guitar and not a note coming out. And I like his guitar playing, I don't know why they did that.

At times, he's got Nils Lofgren, Little Steven, his wife, and himself on guitar. I'm sure the soundman has one or two of them nearly muted at all times.

When I did the shoot for this video, I had a cord plugged in, just in case it showed. Of course, here you are hearing an acoustic guitar and seeing an electric...  :embarrassed:

Artistic license, dammit!

When Taylor Swift played the CMA's back in 2013 we had 10th row center in the big arena for all of the acts. It was very clear she was not playing her guitar. That time it did annoy me since every other band was out there bringing it.
Killer weekend that was. We watched music from 10am to almost 2am for 3 days straight.

What band made fun on top of the pops by actually showing they were not playing or singing? Was it VanHalen? Iron Maiden?
