Question: Does making a signature guitar for Johnny Depp...

Before J Depp played guitar he played Bass in the band P with Bubby haynes of the Butthole surfers and they did a mean version of Abba's Dancing Queen

 
I don't get the sentiment of "what musician's deserve" or don't.

It isn't a zero sum game, and this doesn't affect your life at all.
 
The story goes that Johnny went to LA to become a musician. He's taken a long ass way around, but he's also doing it now. He likes their guitars and they see an opp to make some $$$ off his name. Win win for both parties and I don't care, so s'all good. I like the hard-cutaway Tele body profile.

Yeah, he’s been involved with music on some level for pretty much all of his adult life. And was a nightclub owner for quite a while. River Phoenix died on the pavement outside his Viper Room after OD’ing.
