No. I do not own a fanny pack.

Which means something, being a person who loves quality backpacks, messenger bags, briefcases, attachés, doctor’s bags, duffels, suitcases, and steamer trunks.

Just the mention of a fanny pack reminds me of the skinhead scene in corky ramano

I don’t. But I know that at some point I’ll take the kids to a amusement park and have to break down and buy one to put my glasses in for the rides.

But the hip retro kids are bringing back fanny packs. I’ve seen college girls wearing them at the gym.

I know you like packs so you should check these out.

I own the Minimalist 24 and it's my day hiker....it's fucking amazing. It looks like a gym bag almost but it's absolutely incredible and by far the most comnfortable pack I've ever had. had it for two years now and I never want to be without one.

24 is a little on the big side for a day pack imo. 18 is my sweet spot

yes, i do have one, however, it's camo and only used for hunting.
and i haven't hunted for almost 10 years. but it's in a box here, somewhere.

No, but I've wished I (still) had one a few times. The last one I had (two decades ago at this point) was a virtual clincher that I'd get to ride public transit with no one sitting next to me.

24 is too small for me. I’ve had a lifelong habit, for better or worse, of never leaving the house without a couple of books in tow.

no, but I did in the early-to-mid 80s, when I was 7-9 or so.

edit! I just realized I do have a dog treat pouch thingy that's on a belt, so maybe I do own a fanny pack if that counts?

I totally forgot about my Camelback hiking fanny packs. But I haven’t been hiking since 2019 so at this point I don’t even know where they are.

I have something that is similar to a fannypack that I use for shorter hikes and trail runs. I holds two small water bottles. I have a hydration pack for longer trips.

the think with this one though is it weighs almost nothing unpacked and it is also nothing on yer back. it expaqnds to what's needed and really just forms to your back. You really hardly even notice it. In fact unpacked you could roll it up into a ball probably.

I have a larger one that I put my phone and wallet in when I kayak (in a double ziplock bag). Doesn't always go around the waist - sometimes it goes bandolero style over my shoulder.

I have a smaller one that I use when I'm a tourist somewhere carrying a credit card, passport and cash. Feels much more secure than any other option.

And as someone else mentioned - they are awesome for amusement parks.
