DEAN ZELINSKY PRIVATE LABEL GUITARS

With chrome or black hardware, I'd definitely try it.

I need to see more information. What makes the Strettavita Custom a $500 guitar? Are these guitars made in Korea? In that case $500 for a chambered single cut could be a good deal. Are they being made in some Chinese factory? In that case I can get an Epiphone and try it in store first. What kind of hardware is he using? Good steel parts or die-cast pot metal? What are the pickups like? What’s the neck profile? Some models don’t even show have pics that show the headstock. There’s just too much basic information missing for this to convince people to spend $400+ on a guitar.

I like what I saw, but the Z-Glide neck looks a little gimmicky when a satin finished neck would do just fine. I will admit that if i could feel it, I might change my mind. I do like the overall look of the guitars, and at least there is a 30 day money back guarantee, so I could hear it before I decide to keep it.

The basswood body will bring down the price of the guitars. They might still be made overseas, but that's not a deal breaker for me, these days. I'd need to hear the guitar to decide what I think about the pups and electronics.

I definitely like the Zenyattas - I wonder if they are real thin-bodied like the DBZ Imperials were; not too much info just yet.

Well I literally just talked with Dean Zelinsky and he said they are being manufactured in Indonesia. I guess he sold his interest in DBZ about 18 months ago and then started this line.

$500 seems pretty pricey for an Indonesian guitar. But that’s because I'm used to Indonesian guitars being made with the cheapest parts and finishes. I’d love to see overall high quality guitars coming from Indonesia; that would keep the great Chinese and Korean guitar prices down. Hopefully Dean will update this web site with more details.

The one I like is $4500. It figures.

I can't figure out if that's a USA one-off or a pricing error. But it does have a 5A maple top! PRS would want 15k for that and only offer it in neon hair metal fucking rainbow.

I can get a custom Heritage for about half of that price. I'd rather have the Heritage.
