Control Burn!!

@@&$ oxygen please. About 5 miles out of town on Friday. When finished it smolders. Winds have just stopped now entire town is in a cloud of haze and stink. My house is about 1/4 mile closer to the mushroom cloud.

We used to get Canadian wildfire smoke every summer, but nothing like that.

A couple of years ago they did a controlled burn in the foothills above us. It looked wicked at night. I was thankful for the fire mitigation.

There are places in the US where they haven’t done proper fire mitigation for decades. They ignore their own fire professional experts for various silly reasons.

We have controlled burns so often that I just assume any smoke is a burn. The fire department announces them on social media to keep people from calling 911.
