When asked years later about taking the picture the photographer said he had noted how Chris kept looking at the puppy and smiling so he thought "I better get my camera ready"

the fact that Cheetos uses a Cheeta as their mascot ...everybody know that the Cheeta is in the cat family, a large cat so if you love cats you love cheeto(s).

BTW the phot you posted above is from the Fundraiser that Chris did for the San Franciso Dog rescue and they were bringing out a dog which started dancing on stage to Sailin' ...it was then that the Photographer snapped the iconic pic. Asked years later about taking the photo the photographer stated "when Fluffy (that was the little black dog) was brought out on stage I quickly loaded my ios camera and set the flash becacause fluffy was known to dance and i knew it would be a pic for the ages....just like when I snapped the iconic photo of chris at the Hacienda in 2001 during the 1 week reopening which a lot of people forget about".

That was the one from the Troubador june 2003 an audience member requested "how much for that doggy in the window" and then right after this pic Chris gave a thumbs up with a big smile. Yaers after the photo was take the photographer asked why he had taken this pic and not the famous "thumbs up" moment. The photographer stated that Android battery died immediatly after taing the pic above and he swore to never make that mistake again. he said he knew he should've bought an iOS and he vowed to only own ios in the future in order not to miss "the shot"

if anyone deserves a break it is Chris....he has earned it and I wish him the best. If i were him I'd call it too. Heck he ain't got nothing to prove and us fans have the music still. It's well known that Chris was forward thing and had a progressive mindset towards music. he is known to like this song whichrumor has he listened to daily during his recovery...
