Brennivin

that's that icelandic aquavit, no? I've had a bunch of the swedish takes on that sort of thing, but not the icelandic.

This reminds me that's it's pretty much malort season. I need to get a bottle.

I'm gonna pull the trigger on this German wine today, had my eye on it last year but never got to it. I'm headed to the total wine and liquor today to get some whisky booze (probably maker's mark) and I will then pull the trigger on this

it is suppossed to be warmed up before drinkin'
Germany- A type of mulled wine which is still produced according to Old World tradition. A delicious combination of red wine that is sweetened and spiced with cloves, cinnamon, orange and lemon peel. Gluhwein is ready to drink; heat (do not boil) to enjoy. Great on any cold day.

Yes, Malort is my only reference. It made me think 3/4 vodka, 1/4 Malort.
bleh, sounds icky.

if you can find the fancy-ass leatherbee version of malort (they just call it besk, which I gather is the generic name for the sort of thing malort is), try that. it's malort, but with more depth and nuance.

Some people do that "elf on the shelf" thing for christmas, I like "besk in the desk". For some reason malort is permanently associated with winter/christmas in my head.

More bland than icky. I'm still on malort bottle #1, about 2/5 left. Don't hate it but not exactly a fan. *spits* Binny's might have that stuff but not a priority. :embarrassed:
