After watching a recent Alex Lifeson interview, apparently, he uses a ToneX for amp sounds and an Axe FX for effects in his live rig. He thinks they both sound good.

DId you get the big or little one?

It's a PITA to use at first, but once you do it's a good product. I have four of them in various form factors and while they won't replace my Fractal I get a ton of use out of them.

Depending on which one you bought, and how you plan to use it, the Xsonic Airstep TX edition is a great addition. The large ToneX pedal may have enough buttons for your needs. I have the ToneX One. I find the smartphone Airstep app control of the ToneX One to be a game changer.
