Blackwing (668 hp Cadillac)

Have we talked about the new Cadillac Blackwings?

The CT5-V Blackwing has the 6.2L v8, slightly modified from the Camaro, to pump out 668 hp!

Oddly enough, neither 'Blackwing' car has the 4.2L twin turbo Blackwing engine

Both cars come with the 6-speed manual as standard, though. So you can row your own gears in a supercharged V8 Caddy, but not in a new Corvette...

This is the last hoorah for big powered V-8 engines. GM is going all electric by 2035. These may well become collectors items.

Who knew that Rush's song Red Barchetta would be prophetic?

Cadillacs haven’t had sex appeal since before Elvis stopped having sex appeal.

I'm surprised these aren't being offered in AWD. At least as an option.

I got to watch the CT5V Blackwing run the track at Daytona this past weekend driven by Chase Elliot and Kevin Magnussen. That thing was FAST!!!!!
They had it camo wrapped so your pictures wouldn't show body lines and such.

I bet these go like hell. That is a lot of power even for a large sedan. I wish Cadillac had stuck to their more aggressive styling from a few years back, as these seem more bland and a little more mainstream GM that I would like.

In person they are not as big as the video makes them seem to be and the styling I saw up close was pretty nice.
Definitely not as aggressive but not tame like a Ford Taurus either.
I not only saw them drive the hell out of it in person but they had one at the manufacturer display to ogle. I liked it.

I like this guys channel. Here, he explains about the V8 engine used, but mainly talks about the 4.2L V8 that was used in the CT6-V.
