Rewards for taking the time and effort to do the job right. Congrats! If I ever get married in Scotland you are the only DJ I will call.

I do a lot of Yank weddings, it's a nice unexpected perk of my web address

why is this even a question anymore...Scotland should just knight you and do away with any 'list of the year" regarding DJ's."...at least until, you retire

Been getting nice passive aggressive DMs from other DJs all day. :embarrassed:

"Congrats mate, wish I'd known they were running this year, I'd have got some of my couples to vote too."

"You know I think these things are bullshit but you know how it works, well done on getting in again"

etc ..

I only found out at lunchtime that they were doing the awards because my elderly neighbour has them on his FB for some reason.

That's my supporting evidence in a whole 7 minutes before the deadline.

Needless to say I'd be a shoe in if they had a magnificent bastard category

3 emails today telling me I've been nominated for an international wedding award.

Which is apparently jist some guy in Milan who wants me to send him £50 as an entry fee. Yeah that'll be a hard pass.

I think I heard your are going to be nominated for the Nairobi National DJ award. Entry fee is $1000

We had a DJ open our virtual sales kick-off event.
It was stupid.

I mean, he seems like a great dj even if I didn’t enjoy the music, but sitting in my office chair watching video stream of a guy in headphones shuffle from foot to foot for 30 minutes doesn’t exactly get you cranked up for the day.

I thought of you though. I figured you would do a better job. At least be more engaging.

We did a Homecoming for our patient alumni group. Remember, I work in mental health and substance use. We hired a DJ for it. One of the first songs he played was Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston.
Look up the lyrics and imagine how quickly I sprinted to him to tell him to change it. What an idiot.

My brides LOVE the suit. £75 each ( I've got 3 of them now) and it's been a better marketing tool than any advertising or listings I've paid for over the years.
I was just thinking for being a DJ that is the suit to have. I’m a fan.

The bar isn't set very high across the industry :embarrassed:
