Newsflash! BEARS MOVING TO INDIANA

I've pretty much given up on the NFL. I didn't really watch any regular season games at all. Now there rumblings of the Angels leaving Anaheim to get a new stadium. If that happens, I think I will quit paying any attention to baseball too. part of the loyalty to a team is they represent the town you are from, but this lack of loyalty for a cash grab by holding cities hostage for taxpayer funded stadiums is wearing pretty thin on me.

Pro sports in general are a tough sell right now. I've gotten back into NBA basketball over the past 3 or 4 years because I've been following Victor Wembanyama since before he was drafted. Now I'm having to watch flopping, out of control sports betting, bad referees, games on a dozen different paid platforms, and multi-millionares complain about how unfair their life is when so many of us regular people are struggling with an inbalanced economy.

College sports have been my go-to as they were less polluted by corporate greed.... until all the transfer portal and NIL money has turned it into a cess pool of Pro sport taint bleeding into college sports. Shit. :annoyed:

I mean.... Hammond kinda sucks. If nothing else, I hope it brings some much needed beautification to the area.

It's essentially a Chicago suburb anyways... when you take the toll road and skyway, you think you're in the Chicago area for a while and realize... "No... that's Gary Indiana.... that's Hammond.... okay NOW we're technically in Chicago". :helper:
