Newsflash! BEARS MOVING TO INDIANA

Honkridge

UNACCEPTABLE!
The Chicago Bears officially announced they will leave Soldier Field and move to Hammond, Indiana. The team's board of directors voted to advance a new, $2+ billion stadium project after the Illinois legislature failed to pass a financing proposal to keep the franchise in Chicago. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

WTF LOL

Maybe we could move Baimunstock to football season?
I blame Da Bears fans for this. They should blow up Wrigley Field too.

*kidding. This sucks. Truly tragic. Hopefully it doesn't happen.

Fk these teams and their idiot fans sucking at the public trough. I resent my taxes helping pay for your bread and circus. Hope they all go broke and get brain hemorrhages.

They are now the Hammond Bears. Another pro team will move into Soldier Field soon enough. They said fuck you to us. So they can go fuck themselves.

Nice to see a city stand up to these greedy pro sports pieces of shit and tell them to fund their own damned stadium.

I mean.... Hammond kinda sucks. If nothing else, I hope it brings some much needed beautification to the area.

It's essentially a Chicago suburb anyways... when you take the toll road and skyway, you think you're in the Chicago area for a while and realize... "No... that's Gary Indiana.... that's Hammond.... okay NOW we're technically in Chicago". :helper:

When they first bought Arlington Heights, they really got hosed on the property tax bill. I was with them, not just because, I'm a fan and a new stadium would be so cool but, because it was ridiculous.

What they want to pay in real estate taxes once the stadium is built has swung the pendulum of who's crazy the other way.

I watched it happen in Baltimore. The way the state and city catered to the Orioles and later the Ravens disgusted me. All the time the rich team owners got richer.

Yeah, that same bullshit is going to happen here. The Governor is a red hat wearing Cheeto licker.

I bet you are real fun at parties. Newsflash: your tax dollars don’t pay for local stadiums. Most of your local tax dollars go to pay for the inordinate amount of people on welfare in whatever Deep South state you live in.

Incorrect. I think you need to stop hitting New Puffalo before you make that drive. I have driven that stretch many times and have never mistaken that area for Chicago ever. It’s a wasteland filled with air that smells like fresh turds, abandoned buildings, casinos, tons of cigarette discount outlets, and lots of red hat, white trash hoosiers. The difference between that part of Indiana and Chicago is night and day.

Braves pissed me off big time moving from a perfectly fine and easily accessible Turner field downtown out to the northern suburbs which are damn near impossible to get to for an out of towner coming in on I 20 and raising ticket prices way above their already ridiculous levels. I have never been a pro football fan, and the SEC level is a ridiculous commercial venture that a public educational institution has no business engaging in. People are so stupid in what they value.

Did anybody hope you had a brain hemmorage because you went to a Braves game? I hope not because that would mean they are hoping you would either die or become permanently physically and mentally incapacitated all because you went to ballgame.

Oh it's most definitely the "Alcoholic that smells like an ashtray uncle that nobody wants to claim" of the areas surrounding Chicago.... That's why I'm saying that maybe, hopefully, this event may class up the area just a smidge. Definitely a "I'll just hold it until we get to the toll road rest stop" kind of place along our travels. :helper:
