Barn Storm 2016! 10/21-10/23

Give me the track and I'll learn it. Moving to NY, not so much. We did almost end up in Oneonta about 6 years ago.

I had a lost semester at SUNY Oneonta. The only lasting thing I got out of it was my love of Queen's Innuendo album. So much pot, so few classes (attended that is).:thu:

To be young and stupid again. No regrets though, regrets are for suckers.

Damn, if I knew that, I would have encouraged my wife to apply there of the open professor position

So I am still planning on bringing the rosewood Tele and maybe the Gretsch Bo Diddley if it fits in my double gig bag. Maybe the El Capistan as well if I have room for it in my bag...

Last year, I'd intended to learn Where is My Mind, and then got busy. @Chad did actually learn it. I thought I'd throw that back out there as something that we might be able to play. If there are some other non-super-hard songs to work on, throw 'em out. I'm a hack and don't know many songs, but I can usually keep up to some degree so long as I know the key and/or chords...

Creep only has four chords (G, B, C, Cm) and we could sing "I'm a creeper"...

Johnny Be Goode is always a fairly easy one to pull off. Blues riff in B, watch me for the changes and try to keep up. (Marty McFly)

Anyone have some tunes they want to play? I am a bit rusty after my summer of homelessness, so I figured a good way to get back up to speed would be to work on some tunes for Barnstorm.

Is Neil Young and Crazy Horse an option for anyone? Cracker? Zep? Stones?

I have been dusting off some old Aerosmiff.

I know a shit-load of oldies, every Beatles tune, most Floyd and Zeppelin tunes, a ton of Radiohead, Wilco, etc. And I mean a SHIT load of Oldies.

Do I know them well? Meh! Not really! But well enough to get through 'em!

Looks like I'll only be able to get 1/2 day off on Friday.

That puts me there (with PA gear) around 7:embarrassed:0 Friday evening.

I'm probably going to hit the road early Friday morning, putting me there around noon...I'm thinking of taking a few days in DC after...

Yay oldies! I've never played any in a band but it's all I listened to growing up. Sure I can fake my way through many of them.
