Back from the horrors of house shopping.

hey Dave, what's the tech industry like up there in Denver ?

Pretty significant.

Plus Colorado is becoming a big haven for alternative energy companies, and all the tech that accompanies them...

I just tried to search for properties for sale within 5 miles of my home for 300-350 thousand. No results were returned for my search. :embarrassed:

OK, found this in my area. Had to search the whole county. This was around 3 I think. I searched from 3-350. Bunch of results now, this was one of the first. Um, nice place. :i:

This is what $324,000 gets you here:

One of the first houses we looked at. The washer and dryer are in the back yard. There is a hole about 10 ft in diameter where someone tried digging a Koi pond and then gave up in the back yard. It has pink aluminum siding that is rusted through along the ground and the garage door has windows and plywood that let you see into what is some sort of bedroom conversion.

It looks no where near as bad in those pictures as it did in person.

What is scarier is that it sold for over a half million less than two years ago.....

You wouldn't believe what some of these houses went for 3 years ago.  Mostly 100% financing, too which is part of the bank tangle we're dealing with as well...too many people have notes on each house...
