The air is nasty in El Segundo (near LAX) where my company office is. At least where I live in Long Beach, it is tolerable. As the sun is starting to slowly show, I will get to see how dirty the skies are.

Just saw a video on youtube where people had abandoned their cars on a highway, and the fire dept had to bulldoze them out of the way to get thru!

I got the impression that they abandoned their cars, stuck in traffic, and continued fleeing on foot. But, the news reporting I watched was ambiguous on those details. So, I’m left wondering.

The cars were bulldozed off the road to make room for the firefighters to pass through. What a living nightmare.

Good news. Joe reported that his home survived the fire.

Unfortunately, I’m sure other small collectors were not as fortunate. People collect all kinds of vintage items including art. And, obviously, entire neighborhoods were wiped out. It’s heartbreaking.
